Commander of drug cartel guilty of shooting ICE agents in Mexico
Julian Zapata Espinoza, a cell commander of the brutal Los Zetas drug cartel, pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in the District in the killing of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agent Jaime Zapata and the attempted murder of his partner, ICE Agent Victor Avila, during a February 2011 daylight ambush on a major highway 250 miles north of Mexico City.

Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers was identified Friday by the Ministry of Defence as the victim in the horrific machete attack in the Woolwich neighborhood of London. Owner: Chinese boat's captain beaten by NKoreans
BEIJING (AP) , Gunmen wearing North Korean military uniforms released a Chinese fishing boat after holding its crew for two weeks, beating up the captain and stealing the vessel's fuel, the boat's owner said. He added that the hijackers did not get the 600,000 yuan ($100,000) ransom they had demanded.
