Youth gangs riot in Stockholm over police shooting of old man
Youth gangs in one Stockholm suburb were rioting on Monday, hurling rocks and setting buildings and cars on fire, in protest of police who fatally shot an elderly man. An entire apartment block has been evacuated, The Associated Press reported. Three police officers were injured by rocks so far.

Yahoo offers to buy Tumblr for $1.1B cash
Yahoo's board of directors approved an offer to buy the ailing Tumblr company for $1.1 billion in cash. Tumblr has yet to agree to the deal, various media reported. But the acquisition could be made official as early as Monday, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Yahoo has scheduled a press conference in New York City, the location of Tumblr headquarters.

Iran claims new air defense missile system
Iran says it has new air defense missile technology that can take on low-flying craft, and it's in process of mass producing the system. The system, called Herz-9 or Talisman-9 in Farsi, can also fly at night, Defense Minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi said, The Associated Press reported. State television broadcast pictures of the system , two missiles mounted on top of truck.

US gas prices up 11 cents over past 2 weeks
CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) , The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 11 cents over the past two weeks. The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday says the price of a gallon of regular is $3.66. Midgrade costs an average of $3.84 a gallon, and premium is $3.98. Diesel held steady at $3.93 gallon.
